TRIP PREPARATION / POLICIES
At WanderRoads our primary mission is to provide you excellent travel services. Before making a reservation please make sure to carefully read through these terms and conditions, cancellation policy and the tour descriptions. In case you would have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail or schedule a call and we call you back.
We need a minimum number of participants per trip (land trips: 6 ppl, sea trips:8 ppl) to
book on our website. When we reach the minimum number of participants, we ask
for a deposit which is 40% of the total trip price in order to secure your place on the trip.
To secure reservations on a trip departing within 60 days, a full payment is required after we have confirmed your booking. Payment of your deposit indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Final payment for all trips must be made in full to WanderRoads at least 60 days prior to departure. We reserve the right to cancel reservations if final payment is not received by the due date and cancellation charges will apply (please see cancellation policy for details). Deposits are not refundable. Only in case WanderRoads cancels a trip (please refer to section: Cancellation by WanderRoads).
Trip prices stated are per person and based on double occupancy. Prices include all local taxes and fees. Our trip prices are calculated in US DOLLAR. In case you would like to make your payment in an other currency, please contact us first. We will calculate an approximate price at the time of the booking (which will serve as the basis for the deposit) and we will calculate the exact amount when the final payment is due. This price will be communicated to you via e-mail.
Currently we accept payments by bank transfer and . Our preferred payment method is since it a 100% secure, easy and fast way to handle payments.
We will not increase the price of your holiday once your booking has been confirmed, except due to changes of exchange rates, or increases of accommodation or other costs. Should the increase be more than 10% of the total price, you will have the right to cancel your tour, and receive a full refund. Once your holiday has been paid fully, the prices cannot be increased.
The responsibility of WanderRoads and its affiliated companies is strictly limited. As a tour operator, WanderRoads organizes, promotes, and sells tour programs consisting of certain travel services (e.g.: accommodation, transportation) that WanderRoads purchases or reserves from various suppliers (collectively, “Suppliers”). WanderRoads does not own or operate any of these Suppliers. The Suppliers providing travel services for WanderRoads’ tour programs are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of WanderRoads. As such, WanderRoads is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any Supplier or of any third party. Some tours include visits to shops and merchants. WanderRoads is not responsible for any purchases you make during your trip, whether that merchant is part of the scheduled itinerary or not. By utilizing the travel services of the Suppliers, you agree that you will look to such Suppliers for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to you or to those traveling with you, and that neither WanderRoads nor any representative of WanderRoads shall be liable. Without limitation, WanderRoads is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay, or inconvenience in connection with the provision of, or failure to provide, any goods or services occasioned by or resulting from - but not limited to - acts of God or force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation or for the failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time, sanitation problems, lack of medical care, or for any other cause beyond the direct control of WanderRoads.
We cannot accept any liability for death, accident, injury, illness, or any other inconveniences suffered by you, and for any loss or damage to your luggage or property on our holidays, unless it is caused by a negligent act or omission of us. All persons taking part in our tours must agree to observe local laws and traffic rules, and you are asked to abide by the safety advices given by tour guides. When you book, you must inform us about any medical conditions that may affect your ability or other people on the tour.
Travel insurance is not included in the tour price. Therefore we strongly recommend that purchase an adequate travel and medical insurance to cover unexpected costs due to tour cancellation or interruption, accident, illness, injury or loss, and ensure that your policy covers you for the sport activities you will do on our tours. Our tour offers a limited number of single rooms, subject to availability and hotel space. If you request a single room, you have to pay a single room supplement.
Your health and safety during your trip are our first concern. However you take part in our tours at your own responsibility, and we suppose that you are in good health. If there is any doubt about your fitness or ability of participation in an activity holiday, please consult your doctor.
WanderRoads reserves the right to decline any trip participant whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other participants. WanderRoads is not responsible for the costs of any medical treatment you may require during the trip. Under no circumstances is WanderRoads responsible for the quality of medical care, or lack thereof, you may receive while on the trip. We strongly recommend that you obtain medical and dental insurance that will cover the cost of any medical and dental assistance you may require during your trip.
All WanderRoads trips and their extensions are limited to no more than 16 passengers.
All trips require a minimum number of participants to operate (land trips: 6 ppl, sea trips: 8 ppl).
WanderRoads reserves the right to change the departure date of any trip, as well as cancel any trip or optional extension that does not reach a minimum level of participation.
If WanderRoads changes a departure date for any program to another departure date that departs within 14 days from the original departure, cancellation charges as described in the cancellation policy still apply should you subsequently decide to cancel.
WanderRoads will not reimburse for any personal expenses due to changes in itineraries or trip cancellations, such as prepaid hotel expenses or airline tickets.
You must have a valid passport to enter and leave Hungary. If you are a national of any countries of the European Union or Switzerland, your Identity Card is enough, but only if your nationality is in your ID card.
So, British, Irish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Icelandic nationals need to have a passport, as well as citizens from the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. (A Visa is required only for stays longer than 90 days.) If you are from any other countries please check with the local Hungarian Embassy or Consulate, or we can also help.

If you must cancel your trip, you must do so in writing. Cancellation refunds will be calculated as of the date we receive your written cancellation. All payments for travel services not provided to the passenger shall be refunded in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with WanderRoads cancellation policy.
For all cancellations we will refund the cost of your trip less the following per-person charges.

If you are unable to come on your booked holiday, you can transfer your booking to another suitable person, but a new booking form must be completed for the replacement person. Should this change cause any additional cost, it has to be covered by you or the other person.
If you wish to change your holiday within 60 days of departure, we will have the right to apply the cancellation charges set out below. If you decide to change or cancel any details of your holiday after the tour commences, we cannot accept liability for any additional costs. Please note that we do not make any refunds for any unused portion of your trip.
WanderRoads cannot make exceptions to these cancellation policies for any reason, including personal emergencies and weather.
WanderRoads reserves the right to cancel a trip if the number of participants (who had payed their deposits) do not reach the minimum limit (land trips: 6 ppl, sea trips: 8 ppl) at least 60 days prior the departure of the trip, or in case of vis major (natural disaster or any event that could compromise the safety of our travellers). In such a case, refund of payments received by WanderRoads shall constitute full settlement. WanderRoads cannot assume responsibility for any loss incurred on account of nonrefundable air tickets or hotel/car reservations.
The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices.
While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, postal address and phone number ("Personal Information")
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
PI (personal information) is collected when users provide information to us, for example in registering for services. When you register or request information on this site, we generally need you to provide your name, e-mail address, mailing address & day phone number. In addition, if you send us personal correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive. Like many sites, we use "cookies" to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.
We use both the personal and aggregated and usage information we collect for multiple purposes. For example, we collect this information for administering information requests and providing information services, tracking/verifying compliance with our stately laws, and for editorial and feedback solicitation purposes. We may use your e-mail address and, in rare situations, you’re mailing address or phone number, to contact you regarding customer service issues or billing matters. Personal and aggregated information is also used to perform system administration activities and notify users about updates or promotional offers or opportunities that we believe will be of interest to you. We will always try to provide you with an opportunity to decline this service when such information is requested from you online. If you later decide you would rather not receive this information, or would like to opt-out of any other information request or distribution, you may also update your account information on the applicable portion of this site or simply reply to any e-mail sent to you and type UNSUBSCRIBE as the subject of your reply or in the message of the e-mail. We may also use your information and activity on the site to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce Our Terms and Conditions.
We do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties without prior permission from you, provided however, that third parties does not include our subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, partners, website hosting partners or other parties who assist us in operating this site. We may, however, share your data in an aggregate format, as well as aggregate usage information, with third parties for both advertising and promotional purposes. Further, we co-operate with all law enforcement inquires, and with all third parties, to enforce their intellectual property or other legal rights.
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
As a WanderRoads customer, you may, at any time, request further information about the way we manage your personal information. You may also request removal from our contact lists or correct your personal information by sending us a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
